Black Hills Farmers Market hosts a variety of community organizations in addition to our wonderful food producers.
In the summer months, customers can
- ask questions of the Master Gardeners
- visit a local non-profit or presenter in the community booth
- or visit Rapid City Public Library's Book Mobile.
Market Dollars
Senior Month in August
Market Dollars doubles the value of SNAP benefits spent at the farmers market, helping people bring home more SNAP qualifying products while supporting local farmers. The program provides a one-to-one match in free Market Dollars for customers shopping with their SNAP benefits.
The program doubles up to $20 per day in SNAP benefits. Customers who spend $20 in benefits will receive $40 in tokens to spend at our farmers market. Visit the information booth at the farmers market to participate.
Market Dollars can only be redeemed for Snap qualifying products sold at the market.
Market Dollars are not available from November through April each year and must be used by the end of the current calendar year.

Black Hills Farmers Market hosts Kids Month throughout the month of July. Children shopping at the farmers market are invited to stop by the Information Booth for a free $2 token to spend on any product at the farmers market. These are available at both the Wednesday and Saturday markets while supplies last, thanks to our sponsors.
Each Saturday, visit the Rapid City Public Library book Mobile for books and games and the Master Gardener booth for crafts.
Kids tokens expire at the end of the current calendar year.
